THIS IS FLORENCE
7" EP
The Hermi House was a killer venue, next to downtown Florence, Alabama, and in the basement bands played and recorded. It was here that Nathan Ruffrage (discontent) organized a show with four local bands, The Wednesdays, Random Conflict, oOfset, and Liberation by Blood, recorded it (with the help of Willie Cardin) and released a live 7" of the evening with the money made at the door.

4 songs release by this Auburn, Alabama band. All of these members were also in the pine hill haints, with the addition of Zachery Hobbs, who later joined The Wednesdays. Full-tilt revival style rock and roll. The band lasted a year or so, played a dozen or so shows, and faded out.

2 songs each from these two bands. The ILCK feature Chet (the Quadrajets) and J.R. Collins (the Quadrajets)...J.R. sings one of the selections here. These were printed on green vinyl and also on black.

IF THE GOOD LORD'S WILLIN' AND THE CREEK DON'T RISE - CD
From Auburn, Alabama, these guys toured heavily throughout the 90's, released a handful of full-length records on most of the popular garage labels at the time. This release was originally a tour only record, with alternate versions of earlier material, as well as a number of acoustic songs, Gospel songs, and brand new unreleased songs. The bulk of this was recorded in Opelika, Alabama by Lynn Bridges and Jamie "Spazz" Uertz at Sarcophagus Studios # 4

LIVE IN AN ALABAMA PRISON
The band played a couple of shows at the Stanton Draper Correctional Facility, outside of Montgomery, Alabama. It was amazing. I remember the van broke down in the prison parking lot, pushing it in the rain and the midnight light of the guard towers, trying to get the engine to come alive... There was no security, just a warning to "...not wear anything white, in case of a riot, because the tower guards will shoot anyone wearing white immediately..." The crowd was attentive and sweet, and very emotional. The opening band were all prisoners, all black gospel soul music, and by far the best band I have ever seen. There are two printed covers for this. The first two hundred are xeroxed, the last 300 are screen printed on chipboard.

THE 3Ds
YOUR HEART IS BLACK
Lo-fi garage from Huntsville, Alabama, a cool band that mixed the choas/noise of Hendrix with surf guitars. All of these guys went to do other bands. Each record came with a pair of 3-D glasses! Joey Tacon, who played with the Toxic Shocks and also the Slackers (an amazing punk band from the early 90's) started this band...this record was released when Joey was still the lead vocalist. Later 3-D releases had Matt Bakula (Counter Clockwise, the Crypt Kickers, the Pine Hill Haints) on the vocals.

A short-lived band, from Auburn, Alabama, who played various house parties (The Inbred House, The Malformity House, The Ross Street House, etc) and maybe lasted 2 years. Fast, horror, pop, garage, with a little Hendrix in the dead eyes. Lots of these songs were Wednesdays songs that hadn't been used...some of these songs still appear in Pine Hill Haints shows.

DISCONTENT

Debut from this Florence, Alabama hard-core outfit. This band was very influential to a lot of kids in the late 90's. They toured heavily and played often, put on many shows for other bands, cooked a million meals, etc. They went on to record and release a cassette, which to my knowledge there are no remaining copies of, and they also did a split 7" with an Atlanta label. This record contains 4 songs...with the original line up, consisting of two lead singers. They had a very dynamic live show. 500 pressed.

Pop punk band from Auburn, Alabama. First 100 were printed on thick yellow full colored paper. The rest printed on black and white. 4 songs. These guys played numerous house shows and punk DIY events around Lee County for a few years...they also released a cassette, on their own label, with a bunch of other songs not found on this record.

Debut release on Arkam! Recorded in December of 1996 with Jamie "Spazz" Uertz and Lynn Bridges at the original Sarcophagus Studio. Released in Feb of 2007, four songs, and pressed three times. First and third pressings are on clear blue vinyl, 2nd pressing on black vinyl. This release is the three Barrier brothers...4 songs.
